CAVITE, Philippines — The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the start of toll collection for Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 3, covering the route from the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite, effective August 9, 2026.
Since its opening on May 4, 2026, the newly completed section has provided motorists with toll-free access, benefiting nearly 9,000 motorists daily. It has offered a more convenient and efficient travel option for residents, workers, students, and businesses in Cavite.
The 7.88-kilometer CALAX Subsection 3 was developed to provide a faster alternative route for commuters and businesses while helping motorists avoid heavy traffic along local roads serving the province’s rapidly expanding industrial and residential corridors.
Starting August 9, motorists using CALAX Subsection 3 from the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor’s Drive will be charged ₱35 for Class 1 vehicles, ₱70 for Class 2, and ₱106 for Class 3 vehicles.
For motorists traveling from Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite, to Greenfield in Laguna, the applicable toll rates will be ₱117 for Class 1, ₱234 for Class 2, and ₱351 for Class 3 vehicles.
With the opening of Subsection 3, the operational length of CALAX has expanded to approximately 26 kilometers, beginning from the Greenfield-Mamplasan Entry in Biñan, Laguna.
Once fully completed, the entire CALAX network is expected to accommodate up to 65,000 vehicles per day, strengthening regional connectivity and facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services between Cavite, Laguna, and Southern Metro Manila.
CALAX is considered a major infrastructure project designed to reduce travel times, ease congestion on major local roads, and support economic growth in one of the country’s fastest-developing regions.
