Quezon PNP, Media Sports Club Strengthen Partnership Through Sports Fest

CAMP NAKAR, Quezon — The Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO), led by Quezon Police Provincial Director, Police Colonel Romulo “Bhong” Albacea, and the Quezon Media Sports Club (QMSC), headed by President Gemi Formaran, successfully conducted a Sports Fest at the Quezon Police Provincial Office Covered Court, bringing together police officers and media practitioners in a celebration of camaraderie, teamwork, and partnership on Saturday June 13, 2026

The activity featured various sports competitions and team-building exercises designed to promote unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding between members of the police force and the local media community.
In his welcome remarks, Formaran underscored the importance of strengthening the relationship between the media and the police, emphasizing that both sectors play vital roles in keeping the public informed and maintaining peace and order in the community. He also expressed gratitude to the Quezon Police Provincial Office for its continued support and collaboration with the media sector.
For his part, PCol. Albacea highlighted the value of activities that foster trust, friendship, and open communication between the police and media, noting that a strong partnership contributes to more effective public service and community engagement.

Meanwhile, in his closing remarks, QMSC Vice President You Dagos encouraged participants to carry forward the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and cooperation demonstrated throughout the event. He emphasized that the bonds forged during the activity would further strengthen police-media relations and inspire both sectors to continue working together in serving the people of Quezon Province.
